A New Paradigm - a New Pantheism
The need for a paradigm of belief that is not based on ancient supernatural gods or on some sort of divine Universe has been growing for the last 300 years. That is due to our increased knowledge of reality that scientific inquiry has produced. What can not be proven, detected or measured has no place in a rational philosophy of existence. Current knowledge of the physical Universe must be the basis for our beliefs systems. The author of this exciting new religious philosophy for the 21st century is Jerald L. Robertson of Cincinnati,Ohio.

No More Supernaturalism
Humans for most of their history have chosen to live with mysticism. Many of us now want the honesty of reality. A new paradigm is required to fill our need. neo-Pantheism is designed to do that. It is based on the actuality of existence. Its tenets of belief address past fallacies in human belief and will recognize the growing problems of todaysociety. A code for morality will be proposed that is far more extensive than the old theistic ones. This set of rules for moral behavior is called "The 39 Words of Wisdom of Panthea". It is made up of 39 statements for the right behavior of people.

A New Spirituality
The rational spirituality of neo-Pantheism will provide non-churched persons, scientists, environmentalists and Pantheists the opportunity to appreciate Nature and the Cosmos without resorting to mysticism. Baruch Spinoza, Albert Einstein and Carl Sagan believed in a god that was Nature and the Universe. Their god has finally been 'engineered' and given the name, Panthea, and defined as follows.

Panthea, the Goddess
A personal paradigm of a conceivable entity that explains, sums up and compliments human existence and their reason for being in a logical and aesthetic manner. This entity is a necessary being. It is limited only by itself and contains all that is within itself. There is nothing real or imaginary outside itself. This being is the indwelling reason for all things and a solution to the riddles of life. This entity is the essenceof existence and is titled Panthea.
Panthea has no distinct form but is not supernatural and neither divine or perfect. She knows all that is known, has no personality or feelings and judges nothing. This entity is a complete but amorphous consilience, plausible, naturalistic, tangible, eternal, omnipresence and evolving. She merits appreciation and reverence but not worship. Panthea does not demand servitude, command adulation nor communicates directly to the world. Her power is manifested in and limited by the laws, forces and energies in Nature. She is a factual basis for rational spirituality. In that Nature gives us life, this deity of Nature is more feminine than masculine. This observation by neo-Pantheism begins to right a religious wrong going back thousands of years. The bearers of life are female.

Different Possible Views of the Universe
Panthea may be seen as a deity somewhat similar to the typical theistic ones; however she is not all-everything as they are proclaimed to be. On the other hand, Panthea may instead be seen as the consilience of all of reality with no deity attributes at all. It is left to the viewer as to which they prefer. This flexible is not as strange as one may at first presume. Physicists see light as a particle and as a wave. These are two different perceptions of the same entity, both are right to some degree.

neo-Pantheism Defined
neo-Pantheism - a humanistic paradigm characterized by an awesome Universe with a Goddess-like essence to it that shows us the Tao (way), an unconventional type of monotheism and a self-authenticating rational spirituality. Its ethical base is human survival, wellbeing, enlightenment, family and virtue. Sexual equality and self-responsibility (Karma) are advocated. It is guided by science and reason and worships nothing as divine. It envisions a grand Destiny for mankind in a sane and intelligent future world. The book "neo-Pantheism, A Paradigm for the 21st Century", will be published soon that lays out the basis for this modern rational belief. The following site sub-page lists the objectives of neo-Pantheism.
